Regine Velasquez hits and sustains the A5 note in full voice during SOP's For the Record Jan 04, 2009.

This is what you call Belting, same as what other singers in your mind do, but only at lower keys. Regine belts (belt meaning not falsetto nor headtone) and sustains A5, simply BECAUSE SHE CAN. Other's dont belt and sustain A5, simply because they can not.

Low key, platinum. High key, UNMATCHED.

@Jeffieboi get out of here if you don't like Regine. Let's face it- Celine is a legend- but she can't sing her own damn songs like before. And FYI- Charice can sing circles around Celine. Regine as well. Just because someone is famous doesn't make them better. Britney Spears is worldwide but sings like shit. So what about USA's Hollywood and Billboard charts- truth is, real talent can be found anywhere- and lucky for Asians, we have aplenty.

@TheCrazywee Nobody's trying to erase that fact : ) Regine conquered the Phils., then Asia. Sang live ever since, up until today, her voice still intact. Mariah of course is Hollywood, and almost automatically it makes her market global. But she has been miming for more than a decade. Still great though.

LMAO! A5 chest voice is a contradiction. Pure chest stops at F4 and after that, you go into your mix. There is no way anybody could do an A5 chest. It's just not possible. So it is A5 mixed voice.

@estacioc i think with time, Charice will end up in the same predicament as Whitney,Celine,Mariah if she continues to abuse her vocal chords this crazy. She's only so young. Let's just hope she stays clean and takes care of that God given gift.

@DarKZ786 you missed the point. there is no full chest voice past F4 even for females. every singer, regardless of the gender or the voice type, mixes. it's just a matter of the balance between the ratio of chest and head, which affects the tone of the belt, be it chest or heady

@MrPrinceSongbird of course, i mean F4. even females have to mix between head and chest past F4. anything above F4 is mixed but mostly 80% chest.
