Props were made by Whip The Minister and the concept was developed in Wickham Lane in Abbey Wood, South East London and Music City rehearsal and recording studios in New Cross, South East London. The festival was a tribute to the memory of the late great Tom Caldwell of The South East London Musician's Collective who helped start the festival in 1989. Song written by Whip The Minister with lyrics by Craig High.
A rushing gleaming embossed mind.
Bodies coil as patterns wind.
So erotic and so kind.
Cross pollination bump and grind.
When freedom's outlawed we all see
That only outlaws shall be free.
Our Voodoo Liberation Hex.
Outlaws have excellent sex.
In our moral framework way.
Up through the night and through the day.
We're close with our telepathy.
Tuned into the dreams we see.
A pumping rhythm, a melody.
A courtship rites reality.
Like a 6 and a 9 and an L and a 7.
I've got my tongue in the crack
between the gates of Heaven.
