  • Since Ketchup is non newtonian and Im assuming Mayonaise is too lol why waste money on non newtonian fluid when Ketchup, Mayo, and such are already Non Newtonian :D WOOH TIME TO RUN ACROSS SOME KETCHUP.

    How is Non Newtonian fluid really so much, not like a cup of it is $1,000

    Its just Corn Starch and Water...

  • @RichardTran0 Ketchup is a "shear thinning" non newtonian fluid. Cornstarch and water is "shear thickening." So it's the opposite: it is very "thick" when only a little force is applied, but becomes considerably "thinner" when more force is applied. That's why it pours slowly when you first tilt the bottle, but accelerates as it builds momentum.
