Day Before My "Total Hip Replacement Surgery". This is My Second [Hip Replacement Surgery] Video. Getting ready to TRY to go to sleep because I had to be AT the hospital by 5:30 am. DANG!
I hope I did a good job at looking calm just hours before my surgery :)

Stay Tuned for the next video (or Video's) Likely called "The Day OF" my Hip Replacement Surgery Documentary.
I don't know why total hip replacement patients only get offered the old method of surgery when the Direct Anterior Approach preserves the butt and femoral muscles & tendons. Recovery time is shorter than the old barbaric method. More surgeons should train to do the Direct Anterior Approach. It takes a special imaging table to perform this surgery but the results are well worth it. The results are less trauma, pain & faster recovery with no restrictions. You can drive in 2 wks.

@Bruny The Direct Anterior Approach was discussed and I decided against it because my wife, being a highly trained R.N. told me that there is a small risk of accidentally cutting the sciatic nerve causing permanent paralysis to the leg.
I prefer to deal with the pain instead of risking the leg. But that's just me.
Thanks for the comment!

@glitteringglory Glory, I've been watching your videos and although you had a hard time "The Day After" your surgery similar to me, I'm glad you are now doing even better than me! Also...
Now that I'm able to walk more, I've been too busy having fun "Outdoors" with my children to do much more video on my Hip Replacement, but I'll get around to it as soon as I can settle down long enough. LOL! Good problem to have huh? ;)
Stay Boosted!
