Happy Holidays. To say Merry Christmas is insinuating that this time of year can/should only be celebrated by Christians. It excludes others as well as ignored the fact that there are other winter Holy Days while pressure others to convert to one religion. You may think I'm over reacting, but hearing Merry Christmas instead of Merry (insert winter holiday) or Happy Holidays will mess with a person's subconscious which, to me, is a violation of their free will.

@Nefus2 i noticed that to. whenever i went to a store they would say happy holidays and i just thought, jeez, would it hurt to say "merry christmas(but it's okay to say "happy holidays" if your an athiest. that's understandable)
-
@Nefus2 that is true. But what is worse now that Hanukkah, is being commercialized. Any comments?

Happy Holiday is used becuse or else the bitchy minorities will get offended. (especially the jews)

Either way is Christian
Merry CHRISTmas
Happy HOLY days
PS: you might should try to sound a little less gay

I say "Happy Holidays" because it sums up Christmas and New Year and because I am lazy. Merry Christmas is fine too in my book. But then again, I am an atheist, so whether you wish me Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, it doesn't even matter.

"happy holidays" offends jehovah's witnesses. You can't not offend.
