I talk about listening to your horse, paying attention to slight changes in their behavior. JND = Just Noticeable Difference is that slightest change in behavior that should tell you your horse is changing, he is doing something different for some reason. You have be aware enough to figure out and look for that reason, even if it might seem normal or obvious, look deeper, listen, see what is causing it and how you are either making it worse or better or not involved. Being aware is knowing what to look for, knowing when your horse gives you feedback so you can either release to teach or change your message so the horse can understand and give the right response.

i used to think it was a coincidence that i could guess when my cat was right about to meow, but then i noticed that because im always with her, ive picked up (unconsciously) subtle little clues that people who dont have cats wouldnt see at all. people who have horses that only want to come out once a month to ride always have to bug the barn manager with questions because they havent taken the time to develop an eye for whats normal!

Thank you for making the videos you do for people with horses to learn more about them. I know alot of people that don't know how to read their horses and then let them away with things because they think the horse is upset when he's usually dominating them....the more time you put into your horse the better relationship that you and your horse will have.

Alot of people want a young horse to ride once a month and expect it to act like a 15yr. old that has been ridden/worked wiht consistantly.
