People that believe in socialism have a soft hart, unfortunately their brain tends to be soft as well
-
@USAPatriot63 Then let's try Democratic Socialism... like in the nordic countries.

@LifeTributes True... COMMUNISM will!

Every time I've seen him at an Occupy protest, it's always "Academy Award wining director and the author of the new book ______". This means it's mutual cross promotion. The MSM helps him. He gives them the "exclusive" interview. You could say that Moore's getting rich off the OWS movement.
Is that sleezy capitalism? You be the judge.

First and foremost, Moore is a savvy businessman and promoter. Have you ever seen him anywhere when he wasn't pushing something? He gets almost all of his film budgets from corporate studios. Do you seriously think he's going to do anything to piss them off and lose that? If his film career ended today, I'm sure he'd make out just fine.

If you're looking for lots of super rich progressives like Moore to band together and instantly solve our problems with their combined wealth, think again. It won't happen.
Ralph Nader wrote a book about lots of billionaire progressives who band together and save the country. Now reality. How would you get these people to agree on anything? Who contributes how much? How much is a "fair" amount?

@dbsommers1 i think you're missing the point of what he's saying. the top 1% own more than the bottom 99%. our capitalist system is obviously flawed, I'm not saying socialism is the way at all because that does not work either. what i think should be done is exactly what he is saying- tax the rich at a higher level, the wealthy's tax rate is at an all time low, and look where that got us.

@MrOdieoconnor and yet he still has plenty of money to make him extremely wealthy, and there are still people in need. He could live on much less than he keeps, so why doesn't he keep giving if these people are so desperate, rather than having the government force others into doing the giving as he sees fit rather than giving them the freedom to decide themsleves?

@ILUVJEZUZ94 It should be voluntary, not mandated at the end of the gun if I don't cough up the cash. The price of freedom is that people don't always behave in ways you want, even if it would be 'compassionate'.
Moore is a hypocrite. He has plenty of money, makes more depicting people in misery, yet hordes his wealth when so much more of it could be used to help those he points out are less fortunate. Oh, right, he wants them saved with someone else's money: namely mine and yours.
-
Let's start by taking all of Michael Moore's money, including his house, his luxury New York apartment, his cameras, and his studio. Don't worry, I'll decide who get it and I'll do it for 'the good of the people'.
Socialism will not save America.

@LifeTributes No, and in fact socialism has failed every time it has been tried. It removes incentive to work and it assumes people don't dream of someday owning a nice home or maybe a boat or an RV which you will never own under socialism.
