My 1994 Deville makes the same noise and you can hear it while you're driving at low speeds. Does this mean the pump is done? Should I replace it? Or will it be fine? I just bought the car a month ago and I have no idea if all 4.9 engines made this noise or not and I plan to do some winter driving with it, what would you suggest. Should I replace the power steering pump?

No it aint,thats how all the pumps on these Cadillacs sound,just like the ones in the old Fords and Plymouth Valiants
