@tram84mvp a temporary split according to the late Red Dog and Butch himself who provided this info on the ABB webstie in 2000. So that is what they did. The plan was to meet with Dickey in the fall to see if he was in better shape and addressed some problems. But Dickey hired a lawyer and the original intent by Gregg and Butch was played. Dickey was out for good. I just can't imagine Berry Oakley or Duane Allman backing either ouster. Maybe I'm wrong but they would done a brother differently?
@tram84mvp When this performace happened, three of the four remaining founding members (Gregg, Dickey&Butch) voted to sack their fellow founding member Johnny Lee Johnson from the band. And Jaimoe was replaced by David Toler on the other set of drums. Toler, sadly, recently passed away at age 59. In 1986 Jaimoe was intived to do the just TWO ABB shows that year and was back for the full 1989 tour. Then in 2000 Gregg & Butch wanted Dickey out but Jaimoe originally only supported a temporary split

Keytar absolutely ruins a great song

It's easy to laugh at the keytar but my least favorite part about this is the tempo. Was it the cocaine or what? Still an all-time great band.
