Maybe everyone complaining about the singing in this live video dubbed from whoever's faded old VHS taped copy of this of an obviously drunk Nick Cave might do good to actually listen to the studio version on the album 'Let Love In', then make a judgement on his singing voice.

People are just looking for a reason to dis Metallica. Want proof? Go to every video from Garage, Inc. The top comments will no doubt be "Metallica ruined this song!" or some other untrue bs such as that.

It's not about singing in tune, it's about sounding like you mean it and shouting down the mic.

I never meant to offend anybody. I can't sing myself at all. Maybe its just the metallica and other metal bands influence... I can't bring myself into liking this. It's just lacking something

@Akaarei To say that Nick Cave can't sing is the blasphemy. Metallica's version is too polished and James Hetfield sings it as if he was bored. This song is supposed to be passionate, not empty perfection.

@freakmetallica balls its sweet but not better muhahhahahahaha

@AsparagusMonster shut the fuck up u!!!

@Akaarei O.k. I understand where your'e coming from but remember;Metallica sang their version under the best of circumstances with a top notch studio and probably their shrink in the next room. For Nick Cave it was like tuesday...

I admit i first heard the metallica cover. When i did i was like "OMFG what is this? how is it possible i didnt hear it before?"
Then i found out it was a cover, so i wanted to hear the original. Maybe i don't have the right taste, but this doesn't give me a third of the shivers Metallica did. This man can't sing

how can ppl think metallica's version is better. Nick cave > Metallica.
