The built-in tach must have been an option even on the SS, since this one doesn't have it. Beautiful car though.

@1963impala2dr You may be right. I just remember my neighbor had a '63 silver-blue SS with a white vinyl top, 4 on the floor and the factory tachometer. I thought his was a 327, but it might have been a 409.

Nice job. I like the way you restored the car. It looks like an original car not over done with alot of aftermarket junk that goes out of style. My first car in high school was a 1963 just like yours . Mine cost $125 in 1974 and was gold w'white top. It had air shocks jacking it up in the back and a set of big Mickey Thompson's on the back.. That was the style ha ha. Good Memories.
