Demonstration of the latest Kensington 64343 DS (Disc lock) Notebook Lock. It can help you to secure LCD monitors, notebooks, projectors to immovable objects. The wire is made up of carbon tampered steel, that makes the wires extremely difficult to cut

  • Why is there no Video on the whole Internet which shows how to defeat the Kenstington DS(!) Lock? Everyone is cracking the old one..

  • Thank you for the demonstration. It was helpful.

  • Huh?

  • So you mean that one should damage the kensington slot so no one steals the notebook? That is probably the most stupid idea I've ever heard!

The slot is there for you to use so you don't get your notebook stolen! The Kensington locks isn't a guarantee, but it will certanly make most thiefs choose another target.

  • The point is nobody would buy a notebook off the street with a broken slot (there are some). It tells you it's probably stolen. Would you buy a stolen notebook? The more damage a lock makes to the slot the better off you are because it cries "I have possibly been stolen". The Kensington lock especially the DS can be extracted with minimal damage to the slot.
