As part of the Tynedale folkband Combine in the late 1960s, this song was one of our favourites - in fact, we gave a rendition at Boons bar, Wakefield only 4 weeks ago at a reunion !
Is there anyone who can offer me any advice into how to sing this song without screeching on the third line of each verse? Also, line three verse two - what does belamy say? Is it "quivvy quivvy quack"?
Thanks for this. Loved the Young Tradition but we have this on an LP and can't play it at the moment.
