The Eroica Trio is one of classical music's premiere Grammy-nominated chamber groups. State of the Arts producer Eric Schultz talks to pianist Erika Nickrenz, cellist Sara Sant'Ambrogio, and violinist Adela Peña. In this 2005 program, the trio discussed their drive to succeed as women in what is still a male-dominated field, and how they balance their top-tier musical careers with motherhood. Beethovens dramatic Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello, Piano and Orchestra is featured in the story in a performance with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia.

I've heard them interviewed on a local radio station here in San Diego and they're very unpretentious and unaffected. Too bad Adela left the group.
