Cover the Uninsured: Verta's Story

This video was created by medical students at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL as part of Cover the Uninsured Week March 22-28, 2009. Cover the Uninsured Week is a national and local campaign to raise awareness about the problems of the uninsured.

Sadly, Verta passed away pn July 2, 2009 from complications of her disease. We present this video in honor of Verta's wish to help others who might find themselves in a similar situation. Very special thanks to Verta's family for their support in the production and presentation of this video.
