"A bit like JAPANESE transformers...". LOL, Dude... each and every G1 Transformer came from the DIACLONE japanese transformer robot toys from the late 70s early 80s... Optimus Prime and Megatron are JAPANESE!!!
Holey moley! I thought the motorcycle guy I got had a altered face because he's a knock-off, but from the looks of this ad, it's accurate! Still looking for the other two robots. But the Changerion figure I have is shiny, just not prismatic.
true. anyway, we cannot hide the fact that shows like iron man got produced because they know that anime and tokusatsu is insanely popular. but no matter how they try, in the end, they can never catch the charisma and the atmosphere that is anime and tokusatsu. as they say: the japanese can make cheesy and childish cool and "badass", the americans are trying to make cheesy and childish cool and ruin it all.
@ShinnoHitoki000 I'm unsure about the Diaclone line, at least not the car Robots line that became Transformers as they were produced by Takara in 1982, the same year Ban Dai's Machine Robo was made that became the Gobots by Tonka the following year. As for Iron Man, I think that was more due to the fact more and more Marvel hero movies were being produced. Marvel has nothing to do with transformers ever since loosing the comic rights in the late 80's.
yep the micronaults and diaclones. so what about transformers american? THEY'RE INSANE! that's the reason ironman was made into a movie, the americans know that anime and tokusatsu is very very very very very popular.
The Transformers were from Japan to begin with. but this isen't related to them. Changerion was a live action tokusatsu show by Toei that aired in 1996. Toei being infamous for making Super sentai, the original Japanese version of Power Rangers.
