  • I've thinking of doing this myself for a little project that I have in mind. Out of curiosity, are you using a variac? I saw that you mentioned trying other voltages and wasn't sure. If not, are you using something other than a neon sign transfer? Any info would be helpful, and please feel free to respond to this far after I post it if necessary.

  • @claritynow

Yes I am using a variac and a neon sign transformer. If you cannot get a hold of a neon sign transformer or if its out of your price range, i recommend using a flyback transformer (but keep in mind you need a build a circuit to drive a flyback transformer)

  • The music is so horrible (if you can change that, you probably should), but the video is great.

  • Its impossible to pick music that everyone will like, but i am open to suggestions. Name a band or a song, and i'll take it under consideration for upcoming videos that require music^^

  • How many volts?

  • I forget how many volts i used during this particular take, but probably 9000 volts. I did try other voltages and found that it worked at even 2000 volts.
