'Survivors' created by Terry Nation is a British TV series broadcast from 1975-1977. An accident at a bio lab unleashes a deadly virus that kills 99% of the human population. The aftermath leaves few survivors and a world that is thrust back to a pre industries period. The series centers on a group of survivors who come together shortly after the pandemic and learn to survive in the aftermath.
Oh Christ...the only entertainment left after the world has fallen to bits is folk music.

@neocoders Google, 'the Frankfurt school'
hezkyden 11 months ago
One of the main ideas of the Frankfurt School was... the overthrowing of traditional relationships between men and women. To further their aims they would: attack the authority of the father, deny the specific roles of father and mother, and wrest away from families their rights as primary educators of their children. abolish differences in the education of boys and girls abolish all forms of male dominance declare women to be ‘oppressed class’ and men as ‘oppressors’

@hezkyden So true - I wonder what's with that - the cliche of tightly-wound woman and gormless man runs through everything from Casualty to The Bill

Ah ha, this is looking like the beginning of the anti man genre that is now a continuous motif in the UK-US television media.
