He's spot on in identifying The Colony and the Lincoln Center Library. I've been to both places and they are probably the best resources in NYC.

This was more about how to find the actual piece off music/sheet than finding the right audition song. Johan.

Does anyone know a good up tempo audition song that is good for a 13 year old?

Not a huge fan of this video. First of all the majority of your references were specific to NYC. Other than that it was "the internet" which is just vague enough to be entirely useless. And other than telling you to go get sheet music you didn't give any advice about how to actually pick a song. This should be called "where to go buy sheet music if you live in NYC"

this is so funny...it is literally HOW to physically find your audition song...at a store or on the internet...wow thanks.

exactly what i was thinking -_-

although sending someone to a musical audition with a les mis piece is like sending them to their own execution!!
... Not to be a downer or anything... but this wasn't helpful at all. I was thinkin' he'd give tips on how to actually CHOOSE a song (as the title suggests) not simply where to find sheet music :\

haha, around 1:40 he says "Les Miserab", short for "Les Miserables"... but the subtitles read it as "Lame As A Rob" hahah
