HAMILTON, Ohio (Larry Davis) -- Jurors begin hearing evidence in the case of a 72-year-old Hamilton woman charged with stabbing her neighbor to death. Delores Jackson faces charges of murder and tampering with evidence in the death of Diana Ross. Local 12 News reporter Larry Davis was in the courtroom as the trial involving two feuding families got underway. The jury selection process lasted nearly six hours and after the prosecution began presenting their case Monday afternoon. One of the first witnesses to take the stand told the jury that Delores Jackson and Diana Ross had a history of arguing. On trial for murder is 72-year-old Delores Jackson. Prosecutors say she used a blade to stab 56-year-old Diana Ross. Officials say Ross was stabbed in the chest and the blade pierced her heart.The defense did not make an opening statement. They are waiting for when they begin to present their case, possibly Tuesday. It is expected they will be present a case of self-defense.
