So I thought I'd get a little patriotic today, seeing as it IS July 1st...
Happy Canada Day to those in Nunavut and the surrounding Inuktitut-speaking regions, as well as to all Canadians and people worldwide!
This video was made using Windows Movie Maker, and all the sources I used are listed in the Credits. Please enjoy it.
I actually don't know much Inuktitut, but I've been learning a bit from www.tusaalanga.ca. It's actually the only reason I was able to put the lyrics in syllabics.
Anyway, I hope Inuit, Qallunaaqs and all people alike enjoy singing along in Inuktitut, to our national anthem, O Canada! Thanks for watching, and Happy Canada Day!

  • We used to do it every morning in Joamie School every single morning and we would pay our respects to this anthem, Canadian native inuit pride!!

  • I love Canada! <3Much love to your cool country<3 from the states!

  • @Bozewani That would be absolutely awesome! Instead of at the Olympics, maybe it could be played once in a while in schools that only usually play the French and English versions!

*Sigh* ...But no one will never do it. :'(

  • @WateverWatever04 I want more first nations O Canada versions

Cree, Abenaki, Mikimaq would be great! How about Ottawa also? Lol Remember, the Ottawa people!

  • Where can I find a video with the song (singed) in Inuktitut? I did not find any, so please if you find it say it to me.

  • O Canada!

    Our home and native land!

True patriot love in all thy

    sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and

    free!

From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

  • Ya think? This is WAYYYY COOLER THAN ENGLISH OR FRENCH AND IM FROM ONT. (Close to Quebec so we do MANY, MANY, MANY (X10 more MANY's) French things!)

They would've gotten major props if they did it in English, French, then Inuktiut!

  • i'm a Brit guys. Keep the peace.

  • It would be nice seeing someone perform in Inuktitut in the Vancouver 2010 Closing Ceremony.
