This video, filmed at about 8:45am on Wednesday 12th October 2011, shows steam locomotive BR Britannia Class 4-6-2 #70000 Britannia leaving London Victoria station hauling a VSOE (Venice Simplon-Orient-Express) Day Excursion to Bristol Temple Meads, headcode 1Z97.
The 26 photos taken on this day are now available on my Flickr here:- http://www.flickr.com/photos/uktrainman/sets/72157627886919500/
Video also features other normal passenger trains arriving at and departing from the aforementioned station at the same time as this special charter. I believe that the departing Southern Class 455s (2 x 4-cars) is 2Y81 - the 08:43 to Caterham and I'm pretty certain that the departing Class 442 is 1D40, the 08:45 Gatwick Express service to Gatwick Airport, but I'm having trouble identifying the arriving Southeastern train (8-car white train, half with the new-style livery (blue doors) and other half with old-style livery (yellow doors)).
For those wondering, after crossing the bridge ahead (known as either Grosvenor Bridge (the official name) or Victoria Railway Bridge (an unofficial name)), the train follows a line that goes underneath the tracks that Southern's train run on and then comes up just before the west side of Clapham Junction station, which it then passes through and continues on it's way towards Bristol via Barnes, Hounslow, Staines, Ascot, Wokingham, Reading, Newbury, Newbury Racecourse (where it stops for water), Bedwyn, Lavington (that's the location where that express train (a First Great Western HST) was struck by the tree - see: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1294613/Miracle-escape-train-driver-1...), Bath Spa (where the train stops - I believe to let those passengers off who want to go to Bath) and then arrives at Bristol Temple Meads where it terminates.
The known times for this charter at stations along it's journey are as follows:
London Victoria - 08:45 (due departure time)
Clapham Junction - 09:01
Hounslow - 09:21
Staines - 09:33
Ascot - 09:55
Wokingham - 10:18
Reading - 10:36
Newbury Racecourse (water stop) - 11:02 to 11:18
Bedwyn - 11:37
Lavington - 11:59
Bath Spa - 12:41 (due arrival time), 12:46 (due departure time)
Bristol Temple Meads - 13:06 (due arrival time)
(massive thanks to http://www.UKSteam.info for making the above times available - see http://uksteam.info/tours/t11/t1012a.htm)
You may have noticed that the diesel locomotive at the rear of the train drops off the train at the top of the inline. This loco was used to bring the stock (the carriages) in empty, then detached from the train, but has also been used to give the train a helping hand departing due to the incline up to Grosvenor Bridge / Victoria Bridge.
I trust you liked and/or enjoyed this video - I'm pleased with it as I think Britannia both looks and sounds brilliant throughout - even off in the distance and out of sight! I also love how I've got Battersea Power Station in the shot too.
Thanks for watching. Comments welcome.

i actually really liked your location - steam in a real working situation slogging up the bank along with all the electrics - great context and makes it interesting so....…..☁☁☁☁☁⁘⁙⁚⁛…..Hᴜɢʜ….TU…..ツ

Now *thats* the money shot for Victoria departures, IMO far more interesting than watching the loco get pushed from the end of the platform. Very nice!

@Christopher125 Thank you very much for your comment, really appreciate it. I've been to Victoria station itself before and, whilst it's good, it can get a bit boring after a few times, so I fancied trying something else and hey presto here is the result! I reckon I got some great photos from here too, including what I think is a cracking 'money shot' of Britannia - the photos should be uploaded to Flickr within the next 24hrs. Cheers.
