The video is laggy due to poor optimization of this current game engine, without Fraps it is about 20-25FPS, with Fraps it is 10-15.
Also, it run even worse in multiplayer than in single player.
Even with this lag, the game is still very fun and good to play. So enjoy this video of Empire Total War 3v3 online multiplayer battle.

The game's multiplayer is poorly optimized, ask anyone who plays online, if you get maximum unit size, and 3v3 players fighting, it's gonna lag.
