At 1:14, where is that bridge that people are crossing which looks like dawn....

@AlbertoGamit Thank you for the bit of history. I knew the Vogues were from Turtle Creek, but didn't realize the song was about that town. How sad.....as a Pennsylvania born girl, I have a love for my home state and the beauty of the land there. Turtle Creek must be very proud of The Vogues -- they have always put out remarkably touching music. :-)

One of my favorites by The Vogues. This is a GREAT song. I love this one very, very much. Thank you so much for this post.

Why are the Vogues so often compared to the Lettermen when they were obviously in the league of the Beach Boys?

Just a beautiful song....Thanks, fellas....!!!!

This song is basically about the Town of Turtle Creek, PA where the Vogues grew up. At one time we were a busy town, with industry and high hopes. Today, all the industry has left and the Section 8 housing has popped up everywhere

I agree! They were amazing! Great music for young couples to listen to!

I love this song. I heard this song on Disney Music on VHS when I was young..

Seen them in concert last night in Georgetown, Illinois. Their singing and harmonizing is still truly amazing! Bill Berkette was outstanding as lead and Hugh Guyer's voice is still awesome! I got to meet them after the concert and they were all just wonderful people. Go see them if you are a fan, you won't regret it.

@spook394 Yes, I saw them in Milwaukee--I never wanted them to stop. Why can't there be songs like this anymore, when you hear their voices and know just who is singing? Music like this will live forever, I wish there were radio stations that would play these-kind of hits. There is just something I can't explain, about the beauty of this song. I keep coming back to hear it. It's the memories too.
