Ya I agree.Mathey thinks he will fit in the 2 hole. He shares LaRussa's opinion of having alittle pop in the 2 hole. That could change tho

Ya defintely. I also think oswalt could have a very good year next year(Or at least better than Westbrook) and Oswalt has, in the past, been very interested in joining the Cards but i dont see it happening right now. that could change quickly though.

Ya i agree espesically when they are only 2 year deals so they we dont give them huge 10 year commitments that we later regret. We are better off for he long term this way.

@ MLB talk 123 ya I think the offer to albert was more than enough considering he is 32.(or which he says he is.)

I agree. The 5 year offer would make sense but not for Albert. The reported 9 yr with option was definetely more than generous.

Ya ik its hard to fathom. What we do know is that Albert was upset with ownership. They had 2 years to complete a deal. They also signed Holliday to a record extension before Albert and they offered him a 5 year deal when he was looking for a 10 yr deal. He was upset and got a great, generous offer from the Angels and now he is gone. Its a business though.
