I had no idea this woman had passed on-- sad. Her voice was filled with intrigue and mystery, and transported listeners to another time and place. I also remember her as the lead in "For the Love of Ivy," opposite Sidney Poitier (which for some reason studio execs did not take advantage of vocal skills that far outweighed her acting ability). This song bird will definitely be missed, but her music will live on forever.
