@Nightbane12 Hahaha, the sad thing is that, speaking as a mathematician, I have to admit that there is some truth to this claim. I mean, obviously mathematics does not make any mention of the supernatural, or anything like that; however, I think the intent of this quote is to say that math is based on assumptions, and is just a theory, etc.- as is religion. And with respect to this (assuming I interpreted him correctly, which may very well not be the case), he is correct. ;)

I don't know about this Hovind guy but the latest IDer's are getting really savvy at "putting a lab coat on Christianity". They're a lot smarter than you think- not regarding science but regarding the power playing involved in getting the Bible into the science classroom. THE FOLLOWING IS NOT SPAM SINCE I MAKE NO PROFIT FROM IT & IT'S GERMAINE TO THE VIDEO/DISCUSSION: Check the book, "Creationism's Trojan Horse" by Barbara Forrest & Paul Gross. Google it for a free abridged version.

lol, sorry, I posted that comment before watching the end of the video
those last 3 were good =)
Atheist here but have an honest question. One Hovind argument still seems to make sense to me - the one about the moon. We know the moon affects the tides. if the moon really is consistantly getting away from the earth, wouldn't the fact that the Earth is millions of years old cause the moon in the past to be so close to Earth as to constantly cause complete flooding? This is an honest question, not a stab!!! ;-))))
