That's nothing. I've seen and touched a moth whose wingspan was almost a foot wide. Very dull in color, it reminded me of an antique carpet that old ladies keep in their homes.
Idk how big moths can get her in the US but it really freaked me out and amazed me at the same time.

Moths such as this poor sphinx moth are very important pollinators, especially in the tropics. They are completely harmless to you. I've noticed that in general people have a greater appreciations of moths and such in Eurasia than North America. Pitty...
