We're speed testing an ILIO powered VM with a normal one on VmWare ESX. As you'll see ILIO powered VMs boot 3X faster on simple lean images and upto 20X faster on complex and bulky images.

  • Run time performance is similarly accelerated. The IO per second that a guest VM can handle is amplified by ILIO by an order of magnitude, (usually about 100x). This coupled with Intelligent caching accelarates any workload. We'll put up a couple of more videoes this week showing IOmeter tests as well as more complex workloads being booted, Thanks!

  • Can I get ESX 3.o for free. Which is best way to go to learn vmware?

  • How about real performance as it runs? Booting is something I don't do often, 99.99% of the time my machine is already booted and performing work. Is it faster in those scenarios as well say with SQL, Web, and file serving load?
