Tucka Da Huntaman was a Brooklyn, New York City MC who released only one single (with two songs) in 1995, "Da Hunt Is On/Watch Your Back" on Profile Records. He had begun to make a name for himself during radio freestyles, and appeared on a few songs before his single. His raspy voice was distinctive except for another more popular MC at the time, Nine. Nine was also signed to Profile, so the label decided that "the town wasn't big enough for the two of them." Tucka never signed a full album deal with Profile, and was never heard from again.

  • 3 people here love t-pain. fuck 'em

  • @g3mstarr I see you out of most of the commenter here, get the point.

  • @djbeereal bulllshit

  • @Infamous256 1) they didn't have the money like DefJam 2) They also had smaller labels that promoted other styles of music outside of HipHop.

  • @robcypher wow, you might want to do your history. Nine came out on Profile a good year before this "Tucka" clown.

  • @obilinx1 Honestly, the streets were NOT feeling this dude. Nine had that gruffy scratchy voice on lock at the time and it was genuine. "Tucka" was never meant to last with Profile. He was manufactured by a A&R who had his own agenda. As for Flex? He was in an excellent position at Hot 97 then, and the more labels PAID him, the more he played songs...even if they were wack.

  • Pure Garbation. One of the cocksucking A&R's at Profile Records at the time thought it would be great to have a "clone" of Nine. Fred went for it, but by that time, Profile and its historic catalog were soon to be sold to Arista. No hate, but someone should do a "Behind The Music" series about 90's HipHop. Trust, it will shine a LOT about clowns who should have never picked up a mic + Industry Rule 4080. Dont get me started on dicks who used to work at LOUD, including interns like Apani B Fly

  • super

  • Funk Flex beasted at the end....shit was sick
