Eternal security and apostasy

If Christians can't lose their salvation, why does the bible give us warnings about remaining in the faith.

Where does it say anywhere in the Bible that ETERNAL LIFE ENDS? NEVER! It would not be Eternal Life if it ended!!! The FREE GIFT of Eternal Life was NOT EARNED! Thus what we DO does not effect the GIFT after we have it.

Great word brother. Matthew 7:21,"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven ... " Thanks for bringing out that very important point. The Bible is clear, not everyone who professes Jesus as Lord has truly been born again. God bless!

@THERAPTURECOMES The true church has always been spiritual Israel. Jesus Christ is our high Priest after the order of Melchisedec-see Hebrews6v19~ch7v3.+Hebrews13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Rev3v9...which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie... .=say they are Christian & are not.=professing not possessing=Matt7v20~23=Rev3v15­&16.

The Grace factor, Rahab a gentile actually broke the law but received salvation by faith in knowing the True Israel was Blessed

@THERAPTURECOMES both physical circumcision & animal sacrifice were *symbolic* acts of worship(neither had any power to save of themselves-Heb10v4),both required faith also. When OT gentiles were grafted into Israel-God's people(Exodus12v47~49) the physical circumcision was required as a symbol of saluting/believing God. When The Lamb of God-Jesus Christ was slain physically this very act made provision to restore the spiritual union between man & God that was 1St broken by Adam Romans5v12~18.

You missed Gal 3:26

What you are doing is taking verses and taking the WAY OUT OF CONTEXT

Jews believed that by following the law (circumcision) assured them of right standing with God. This is a physical act and not spiritual.

In affect, circumcision is useless. This is still dealing with the JEWS.

Romans2:11 For there is *no respect of persons* with God.

2:28 For he *is not a Jew*, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

2:29 But he *is a Jew*, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

What does verse 29 say?.
