If people really dont know... A dull knife is 100 times more dangerous than a sharp knife when using it for simple tasks. If you need to cut a piece of wood it is better to have nice even cutting actions than to chop away at the wood and potentially chop a finger in half with your hacking motions.

not to sound rude but what does this prove? if i had a knife and all it did was shave bits off a strand of hair then i'd be pissed cus i want it to cut right through. if it was really that sharp wouldn't it just cut the hair with the tiniest amount of pressure? i really dont mean to sound sarcastic, i like your vids i just dont understand how this is a suitable test of sharpness???

@digerydooboi a sharp edhe is thin, a super sharp edge is thinner, this cna only be done with an edge thats extremely thin thats all, practical for a utility knife, not needed, no, but this proves the edge is small enough to split a human hair without cutting it completely which any decent edge can do

Big deal i can make any ordinary piece of iron splice a hair fiber... u people should stop raising this knife on a pedestal... i baught it to se what the fuss was all about cause there are reviews praising it all over the place... The thing is it is just another ordinary good knife that was promoted and marketed with a very very high value for it's performance All that super durable SGPS crap is just for sales purposes, there are alot of good knives out there with same and much better durability

I aghree a goods sharpener cna get the same results as this, BUT whats most important is this steel will hold it the longest, thats fact, not opinion...
