The Amiga and the days when music was as important as the game, these days most games have generic music, new devs are soulless.
-
great game i used to play this at my cuzzies loved it!!!
-
@duvorap - Yes I am..And I'm not sure about the digital downloads..I've got it all on the original CD somewhere, but no other copies of it..
-
@jp1jp2 You are Jason Page that made this soundtrack? You did a fantastic job. Is there anyway to get a digital download of it somewhere? This and the soundtrack to the PC game Total Annihilation are the best i've ever heard.
-
It really did feel like an ice world. Superb work of art - this game.
-
Thanks for the nice comments about the music... :-) J.Page

@AlexVideoPlayer Well I dig the Zool CD soundtrack unlike everyone else :(
But they had no choice since they had to make Zool cool to compete with Sonic (Sonic CD had also uninspired music)
-
aw man ..i was expecting a game based on the Ralph Bakshi and Frank Frazetta film of the same name oh well this is cute cool music also :P
-
@AlexVideoPlayer They changed the music for this level with the CD32 version. This music is nice, but I too prefer the original track that's on the normal Amiga version. CD tracks may be "restriction-free", but that doesn't always mean better music.
-
@busterflex "The music is better on the Amiga version"? What? Amiga music is great (including Fire & Ice) but you can't possibly compare this fantastic restriction-free CD soundtrack with the "chip" version. There are CD32 games (Zool for example) with uninspired CD tracks, but certainly this is not the case here.

The jumping is not hard...it is very common, because on an joystick you have to press up to jump....so a bit of exercise and then no problem..The music is better on the amiga version...
-
oh my god. remember, remember, remember - the good old days

Thanks for sharing this! I actually still have this game but my Amiga CD32 died many years ago so I haven't been able to see it until now.
@duvorap I would love to see an IOS version for the iPhone/iPod too!
-
The CD32 version has much better music!
-
@MNX58 Thanks :-)
-
Excellent! ..I want this on PC without any game adjustments...
-
love the music in the cd32 version. Wish they would re-release this game on the apple ipod/iphone! (along with other great amiga games!)
-
The cd32 version had the option to turn off the decent cd music tracks and turn on the amiga chip music instead.
So the cd32 version had it all, the cd music is obviously enabled in this vid.
-
Heh irony, you died on life up :).
Great game, through. I made to the last boss and he wiped me. It was fun :). Music great, too.

Wow !!! Nice ,, Verrry Nice music .... not like last years vidoegame music .. suuuucks shit ...
thanks for the upload ... ( 5 stars ) ^_^
Great recording quality, and it seems to run much smoother than the original Amiga version as well. Is this running on the 60Hz NTSC CD32 or on the 50Hz PAL?

@RJLeffmann This one would have been running on the NTSC system. I noticed on the disc itself (when hooked to an Amiga) is that it has 2 executables, one for NTSC and one for PAL which probably makes a difference.

What equipment are you using for recording?
