"Throw your arms around me" - Mark Seymour

I was at My sisters 50th B'day Party a few weeks ago. I insisted the (Old) DJ play this song. Numerous times he told me this song was 'Crap'! and that no one ever likes it! I still insisted and I went to his CD's and found it! I am 40 and I had my 22 year old nephew, my 23 year old niece and her 30+ b/f all up with me, arms around each other singing this awesome Aussie song!

One of the absolute classics of OZ music. And i think this is a classic of all the world's music. Paul Kelly, Crowded House, Cold Chisel, Akka Dakka, H&C WPA, The Triififds, The Church. And many, many more OZ bands. Classic bands, i think, in anyone's language. I must say, though, this song. a masterpiece.

Hehe, sorry bout that, mate. Didn't mean to be chauvinistic. (But to be fair to me, Paul Hester was, and Nick Seymour is, Aussie.) But of course, there are a lot of classic Kiwi bands too.
