For me Phil Ochs was the first important singer/songwriter to learn from how to write topical songs. This song I wrote 1978 in German language to express my feelings about his suicide. The song was on my second venyl album, "Abrechnung", recorded 1980. A few weeks ago I found english lyrics in the internet. Somebody - I don't know who did that fantastic job - had translated my lyrics and now I could sing it in English. So this is for the guy who did the translation. Thank you, wherever you are...
