@MattHurleyHimself His lines are interesting,no doubt about that.I just find his execution a bit weak.Not just here,but most everytime i hear him play.I wish the lines were longer and not as choppy..A nice continuous stream of 16th notes once in a while would be cool. He just doesn't seem to have the endurance in this area.People like McCLAUGHLINN, Martino,and Bireli Lagrene are masters at this kind of shit.And in all honestly,after hearing those guys play,kurt sounds kind of lame and lifeless

@Skepticalnature His solo form 8.40 onward is amazing, the triads, linear lines, as well as incorporating the bebop licks, not the mention the composition itself! This is kicking ass!....in my opinion

yeah i love how ballard plays on this. different than harland from "the remedy," which is also excellent. its just cool to hear a different take.

I can hear John McClaughlin or Allan Holdsworth really kicking ass on this groove.Now THAT would be really sick,and THAT would be worthy of comparison to Coltrane.
