DC Electric Motor Construction pictures with Demonstration video

Year 12 Physics Assignment. (AUSTRALIA)
Just a rushed video I made to demonstrate a DC motor for those who need ideas if they need to build one for a school project or whatever
Sorry about the zooming in and out; it's the only way I can get my camera to focus close up.
I used my Ipod to time It to prove it stays on for over a minute (One of the requirements for my assessment task).
Yeh the songs pretty random for this video but meh, It's a good song & it was stuck in my head.

Hey again, sorry for constantly asking lol. my motor is working, but its spinning very slowly lol. what factors are affecting this? is it the torque thats the problem? stronger magnets? more coils (ive got 50 turns atm)? Cheers.

@adrwLe No worries man. Well i take it you know the formula: T=nBIA, so yes, n(the number of turns of wire) hugely effects the output torque, so if you can fit more turns on the armature of your motor than that would make it turn faster. If you cant fit any more turns of wire, try using thinner wire although there will be more resistance in the coil and it will heat up faster, causing lower flow of current, and you don't want that. Yeah try using stronger magnets as well and maybe 2 batteries?

@adrwLe 0.5mm copper plate. cut it into a rectangle and wrapped it around a cork from a wine bottle. then cut into two pieces and stuck it onto the cork with hot glue gun.
