This is just before launch. yeah, we use a fuse, just being easy. We took a shotgun shell apart and used the nitrocelluous (smokeless powder) to add to the top of our fuse which is at the top of the core inside the rocket. In our experience the rocket lights at the top of the core hole because of this. The rocket candy cores are hard to light and the american vicous fuse does not light the fuel without the added shotgun powder. The powder itself is stuck to the fuse by first mixing it with acetone. the actone 1st melts and we scoop it up into a cut straw then stick the 1/2 inch straw into the top core. the acetone dries and leaves a perfect match. the new dry smokeless powder resembles plastic and does not burn as good as it did. still a good e-match!
