These folks are sick! They have different interests other than protect the environment and the indigenous people from the forests. There are unions struggling for power and manipulating data so that Vale is painted on these colours. Vale is not perfect but it's one of the most socially responsible companies I've ever seen. They're serious about this! Don't be manipulated. Search around and get informed. Shame on you, Public Eye!!!
Am torn between voting Vale and BP as worst Corporation in the world. Then there's always the revered Vatican with wealth beyond comprehension although in the name of a guy who supposedly despised 'money changers' and catered to the poor. Regardless, they're all hypocrites. Only difference is that some 'Corporations' are more deadly than others!. Ask the poor folks in Brazil. Thank you for bringing this horrendous reality to light.
BTW America; wake up, corporations are not people.
While corporate CEO's are becoming fat cats, they are creating a life that is hell for many, many poor people. That is bad Karma, and I hope it gets stopped soon.
"The project will displace more than 40,000 people, flood 668 km2, and dry out 100 kilometers of the "Big Bend" of the Xingu River, profoundly impacting three indigenous tribes who live there". Corporate Social responsibility? I think NOT! Vale's only god is money, which they consider much much more important than people. Vale is only one of the many reasons for the OWS movement - and the sooner this corporation is completely destroyed THE BETTER!
