this film made a mark in me that i'll never forget. i suggested this for my daughters to watch. it always brought a tear in my eye.
here in the philippines a lot of soldiers or even rebels die left and right and i dont see the respect given due to them. all they give are full military honors and blah-blah, after that it is all forgotten. nothing gets close to taking chance.

i have no knowledge what this film was about. but when i suddenly chanced upon it, i learnt that i was about a soldier KIA. i was deeply moved by the manner they cleaned the soldier, suit them in uniform then placed in the casket, escorted in the plane, made sure of the placement of the head when transferring it to other planes, the salute for the fallen hits me most, the very slow movement of the hand and the slow march, how different people reacted in the airports and even on the road.

what only 2 responses to a movie that honored one of our fallen??? Geez are people living under a rock now? Thank you PFC PHELPS. I never knew you, but I love you and thank you.
There are no politics in this movie, just the decency of the American people. Every American should see this movie, especially on Memorial Day. Rent this movie or get it from a friend or your public library. I believe our Men and Women in the middle eat have been forgotten. This movie will remind you of their sacrifice. vbsouthern 05/23/2010.
