Sherlock is not gay, he is however, a cocaine addict (which was legal in the time period he comes from).

She was the only woman Sherlock ever had respect for, it's a popular thought that she was the only one he could ever love...if he loved at all.

i've read and loved the books, but this does look awesome: sexy, fast-paced, funny, stylish, very cool in every way. not to be taken seriously, of course. but hey, i thought that was obvious, seeing as it is a big-audiences hollywood flick.

the only thing i'm disappointed with is that they speak american. -__- it would have been utter sexiness if robert downey jr. had spoken proper british.

think of it as fan service for sherlock lovers.

I totally agree. Holmes is actually pretty much like House. He wolud never put himself into a compromised or embarrasing situation. Holmes is ALWAYS in control, even if he says he´s not... people think he is. This is a joke, a bad one. What an stupid casting, by the way
