  • wich parts are not original ????

I´ve made some modifications in a stihl weed eater engine for my plane. Not as much as you did !

    Congratulations !

  • The engine cases and crankshaft must be custom right? There must be some kind of seal between the two cylinders. Because as far as I know, tt's impossible to have a twin two cycle that shares a crankcase because there wouldn't be enough volume to fill both cylinders ideally. As well as problems with scavenging, and other issues.

  • is this engine very macanicly loud?

  • Very nice

  • This thing is pimp man, how do you have the ignition wired up, I don't see any coils? Think it would be possible to make a parallel twin with a couple of weedeater engines?

  • that makes more sence when you explain it like that

  • Same block... But each cylinder is completely air tight from the other cylinders. Unlike a four stroke where all the rods and the crank share the same space. If you ever see a V two stroke there's two separate cranks usually. Parallel twins through fours usually have one crank, but each cylinder has it's portion of the crank separated with a seal from the cylinder next to it. That's all I was saying. I wanted to know if this had a 1 off block, or if it was two weed eaters bolted together.

  • ok you got me snowmobile engines dont share a crank case? that would seem more complicated than necessery

  • No kidding... Read the post. There are even V8 two strokes in some old Russian and other eastern European made cars. But other than a "Twingle" two cylinders cannot share the same crankcase, because it wouldn't be able to create sufficient vacuum or pressure to draw in air and fuel, and then force it into the combustion chamber. Take apart any multi cylinder 2T and you'll see seals that separate the crankcases. It would be kinda like taking out the reeds and expecting the motor to still run.

  • hi aviatorplus.

I sent you a message I hope you can help.
