  • Full video and audio playback with just 1 watt of power? Did I hear that correctly?

  • Sure did! Welcome to the Wonderful world of Tegra!!

Just wish they could have given me more details about the machine!!

  • That's pretty cool. Also, about the audio, maybe there are no external speakers so the only way to hear sound is with a headset. Have you tried using a headset yet? And, what about built-in bluetooth, wifi and 3G support? I travel to the Philippines a lot and Sun has unlimited mobile broadband with 2 - 3 Mbps via a 3G SIM card for just 799 pesos per month.

  • We only had the unit for a few minutes, and they didn't give us a specs sheet so I don't know about blue tooth, it did not show up in the settings as afar as could see.

I don't actually travel with external speakers, tho most people do have headphones, but I don't carry those around either. :S

The Sim card slot was also just a dummy, so I'm not really sure where exactly they are going with this unit. Especially since the Quanta smartbook shown off in the same week has such a dynamic design.

  • looks like a pile of junk ....

  • cool system, decent presentation, crappy software. compared to chrome web browser and ffmpeg / vlc, why.........

  • A Tegra2 smartbook has already been demoed this year at the Adobe Flash conference. And Nvidi will be formally announcing the Tegra 2 at CES in January.

The Tegra has the potential to topple Intel and Microsoft.

  • Must correct spelling of link on your "more info" tab. :)

  • Compromise: Netbook with tegra chip that helps the Atom Cpu handling 1080p?

  • Maybe it's the cheaper Lithium-ion cells that make it a fatty. I'd prefer a Lithium-Polymer battery for manufacturing reasons
