@mihaidracu Sooooo.... a cooler pad can really help here? I read somewhere that cooler pads don't really make much of a difference, so I was a bit sceptical... you don't think that this laptop is damaged somehow do you?

Aha- you have the same laptop as me. I've been trying to get this to run for ages... I mean, I can now get it to run at mostly playable rates... but...
With every newer 3D game, my laptop's i7 overheats (around 99 degrees c) and creates slowdowns/low framerates. The annoying thing is, it isn't constant, it just happens every five or so seconds. So does a cooler pad really help? Is it normal for my laptop to just overheat so often? Seems a bit shoddy.

@TechnicalByteGames That's right, Inspiron series sits poorly with cooling, is very hot but I use a cooler pad and I don't have problems.

OMG PLEASE HELP I HAVE THE EXACT SAME LAPTOP AND GTA IV IS RUNNING SOOOO SLOW EVEN AT LOWEST SPECS,HOW MUCH I REDUCE THE SPECS IT LAGSS? AND MY GRAPHIC DRIVER IS UP TO DATE AS WEELL! whats wrong,why is it lagging please help me

@suckitupbeyotch Try this: NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Global Settings > Preferred graphics processor: High-performance NVIDIA processor

Which GTA 4 release and crack do u use? I have a same notebook, but I can't turn up the texture details from low... I have already changed the graphics processor preferred the NVIDIA.
