President Obama will bring No Change, just more war

This was my response to YouTube disabling this video

If Jimi Hendrix were alive, who was anti-war, he would have approved of my inclusion of his anti-war rendition of the Star Spangled-Banner. I believe the disabling of this video is politically motivated, possibly by the Whitehouse, and has nothing to do with alleged copyright infringement. I genuinely believe that Hendrix, were he alive today would have given me permission to use his material, since he was vehemently anti-war, and would be horrified that my video was being censored in his name.

An Obama victory is a victory for the peace movement. It sends a message to the political establishment that being against war is the winning position. War is SO Over. American voters have recognized the costs-lives lost, international cooperation thwarted, and tax dollars squandered-and chosen the candidate who promised to end the Iraq war and to use diplomacy first.

We should all take a moment-or a few days or even a week-to relish a job well done. We worked hard for this victory and should celebrate. But we can't stop now: an Obama administration will need our help to live up to its promises.

What do we want from an Obama Administration and a Democratic-controlled Congress? We want an end to the occupation of Iraq and reparations for its people. We don't want the troops from Iraq shipped straight to another losing war in
Afghanistan. We want a negotiated settlement in Afghanistan. We want a diplomatic solution to the conflict with Iran.

We want the restoration of our civil liberties and the protection of our environment. We want money to bail out homeowners who are in foreclosure because of predatory lenders. We want a NEW New Deal for America: jobs, housing, universal health care, education, roads, public transportation.We want a government that puts the needs of people
ahead of the profits of banks and corporations.

Will we get all these things? Not without continuing our feisty, vibrant and sometimes LOUD agitation. We thank you for
all the phone calls you made, the doors you knocked on, the money you donated, and the letters your wrote. So breathe a sigh of relief, kick back for a few days, and then let's get back to work.

I'm sorry, but I believe President Obama will bring No Change



All you people who put so much hope in him and voted for him, are going to be bitterly disappointed and disillusioned. Right from the start I knew he was a con, a paper tiger.



He will either show himself to be a repeat of Tony Blair, and will continue the war-mongering policies of the Neo-Cons...or if he looks likely to be genuine and set to carry out the kind of agenda CODEPINK and I would wish for, he will be assassinated and Joe Biden will step in as President, who will be the LBJ to JFK's death....and we know how LBJ brought about the Vietnam war ("Hey Hey, L.B.J, how many kids did you kill today?")



I hope I'm wrong about today's result...but I don't think I will be. Obama is set to escalate the war. More troops in Afghanistan, more troops in Iraq, followed by invasion of Iran and Syria. The Third World War is only just starting.
