a lucky time to catch them too, the 90s saw a very sluggish lazy bored sounding fall, till mark sacked them all in a punch up on stage just before you saw them, then he took on a young bunch of session guys to replasce them which brought the whole klutter-buck, trashy, rockabilly, punk, garage-band, psychedelic life back into them. can imagine how good it would have been. been a fan since late 70s wen i heard then on bbc's john peel show.

Was lucky enough to see MES and The Fall in NYC at The Knitting Factory, New York City on November 23, and 24 2001. MES was in very good form, just drums, bass, and guitar backing him very tightly. It was a dream come true to catch them. I had been collecting Fall CD's for nine years up to that point and was fascinated by them. It was awesome to actually meet other people who knew who the fork they were here in the USA. it was frightening and wonderful.
