My mom goes through about 20 pair of sunglasses a year, and you can bet that none of them are cheap. They are expensive, and most of what she's paying for is just the name. You can bet that I think $50 for shoes is too much, mine are usually bought at $15, but I saved for 3 months to buy my first pair of Toms, knowing I could get better somewhere else. It wasn't about the brand this time, but about their one for one commitment. I'm saving up for my second pair now, and glasses to go with it.
