Ode To Community College

Yes, I know. This video doesn't apply to EVERY community college student, lol. Only to those who are in their first year, don't have much going on, and live with their parents. This will be how you feel most of your first year at a CC and, well... if it IS your first year it might not've hit you yet (it's barely September, after all). But it will... once they start posting pictures on their Facebooks... and when they tell you all those cool stories about roomates, getting drunk, going to parties, school traditions, etc. Beware.

For those of you watching that don't know what community college is, here's a description: public institution of higher education. Community colleges are characterized by a two-year curriculum that leads to either the associate degree or transfer to a four-year college. The transfer program parallels the first two years of a four-year college. The degree program generally prepares students for direct entrance into an occupation. They are also referred to as junior colleges.

I always told myself I wouldn't end up at a community college. Specifically, the one I'm going to right now. Though it feels like a giant bowl of suck most of the time, it's not that bad at all.

It doesn't matter what kind of college/university you go to, the only thing that matters is you're getting your education. I'm currently in a university and loving but, education comes first to me. Good job, on the message at the end of your video. What are you majoring? :)

I understand that community college maybe isn't exactly the best but if you really didn't want to go to community college then why did you go.. You need to keep your opinions to yourself. Community college is the smart way to go for a lot if students.

I have to go to a community college next year and I am NOT looking forward to it! A lot of my other friends are getting acceptance letters to all of these Universities far away and I have to say I'm gona be stuck here at our local Community College. FUN :p can not wait to get enough money and transfer! But thanks for the positive out look of it :)

I agree about the dorm thing. I go to community college too, and it sucks. Yes were saving money, but I really wanted to go away and be on my own. I guess I see your point though. We have to make the best of things.

I wouldn't leave but I don't wanna stay getting my associates for like 4 years. So I will regrettably leave after this year but had lots of fun and many memories at Truman

in the dictionary the synonym for community college should be "Cesspool of sorrow" It's horrible!!! In my town the only and i do mean ONLY people who like it, are the type of girls who don't want to party or have sex and don't give a fuck about anything other than their classes. Of course a stereotypical massively horny fun-starved 19 year old male like myself. CC's are torture!!!
