boxing is a 100 year old sport. it is like the first cousin of mma. it is not going anywhere. PPV's are up when compared to 10 years ago, if the sport was dying PPV numbers would show the decline.

MMA will surpass Boxing. I used to love boxing back when RJJ and Tyson were at the top but most fighters now ther than Pac just don't appeal to me anymore. It's still a relatively young sport but growing fast. Theres more concepts and arts to it than standing and punching a guy in the head and torso.

@sharozsheikh ur the one thats wrong. Ufc has not had any ppv breaking numbers like boxing has. Mayweather is the most money making and ppv breaking record fighter in the world and manny pacman second behind him. Ufc do get good ppv numbers yes, but not even close. Big names in ufc make hundreds of thousands to fight while big names in boxing get WAY more. Mayweather makes 70 million a fight and manny 20 million, cotto, marquez, bradley, 5 millions dollors. Boxing is still a big sport period.
