Francisca Nuvor, VoicesofAfrica mobile reporter in Accra, Ghana -The CAN 2010 African cup of nation to be held at Angola is just around the corner and most vendors in the jersey and T-shirt business say the market is not booming yet but they hope it will when the time is due.
During a visit to Lapaz market in the Greater Accra region of Ghana, it was noted that vendors have high expectation but have lost hope since the Christmas festivities just ended but still hope market will recover when the days go by.
Madam Abigail, a television dealer hoping and praying that Ghana will qualify to other stages in the tournament so as to wet their appetite and buy more television. Mr. Samuel Agyekum, a dealer in jersey and other sporting kits such as shin guard, footballs, football boots and other items required in the sporting arena believes strongly that sales will rise up when the tournament starts.
